AddressSt Mary's Anglican Girls' School is an independent day and boarding school for more than 1450 girls from Kindergarten to Year 12. The school is located close to the ocean in the northern suburb of Karrinyup and, during term time, is home to more than 185 boarders.
St Mary's has an extensive and diverse Music Department, which provides opportunities for girls from Kindergarten to Year 12 to perform in orchestras, choirs, bands and other ensembles.
All girls receive music classes in the Junior School and in Years 7 and 8, with elective music classes available in Years 8 to 10 and WACE subjects offered in Years 11 and 12. The department works closely with Hale School and music groups are formed in combination with them.
We are looking for an enthusiastic string musician and educator for Semester 1 2023, with the possibility of extension. The position will be responsible for teaching and conducting string musicians in both Primary and Secondary School and the administration of the group string lesson program in the Junior School.
The successful applicant will be a highly competent and experienced strings performer with experience conducting a string ensemble in both a Junior and Senior School environment, at beginner and advanced levels.
