About the Role
Due to the ongoing growth of the Rivalea business, we are excited to commence our search for a National Business Manager, Wholesale & Independents to join the Sales and Marketing team in our newly formed Pork Division. Reporting to the GM Sales & Marketing, this position is a key sales leadership role responsible for over $130m worth of revenue by driving profitable sales growth through the wholesale and independent grocery channel. This role owns the strategic sales plan across the wholesale and independent grocery channel with the aim to drive sustainable growth and partner with cross functional teams to improve process and outcomes that drive strong customer engagement.
Lead and develop a team of four, driving a high-performance culture-based environment
Build and drive a strong customer centric mindset
Grow trusting relationships across the S&M team and broader cross functions
Manage key wholesale and independent grocery customer relationships
Manage annual pig carcass/livestock agreements and associated service kill and bone arrangements
Manage branded Value Add Portfolio
Manage commodity products
Manage retailer Own Brand products portfolio management
Follow up on all customer queries in a highly responsive and professional manner
Ensure all customer contact is well planned, recorded (CRM) and always performed in a professional and courteous manner
Build and cultivate professional, strategic and robust relationships with customers that drive growth
Plan, sell, negotiate and execute in a manner that build trust and respect
Build strong internal and external relationships (JBS, Pork Division cross-functions and the broader pork industry)
Develop, implement, and manage annual channel and customer business plans
Evaluate effectiveness of existing pricing strategies, identify gaps and opportunities and manage execution
Coordinate and carry out tender presentations and commercial negotiations
Measure, monitor and track daily, weekly, monthly and YTD sales performance
Manage the portfolio of sales towards a sustainable and profitable position
Ensure all overdue debtors are followed up in a timely manner
About You
Natural leader with demonstrated capacity to lead and develop others to be their best
Demonstrable experience in a similar senior sales position (customer management and/or category management)
Strong and effective relationship builder with engagement building skills
Strategic thinker with a strong attention to detail who can execute
Deep understanding of how to measure and customer sales performance
Skilled negotiator
Ability to communicate at all levels
Experience with building a high performing team from scratch (i.e. through relocation and /or integration)
Experience with an Agri–based business model experience highly preferred (Fresh and/or Protein category)
Appreciation of balancing the carcass (different meat cuts and boning specifications)
Strong working knowledge of wholesaler and independent grocery channels and customers
Proven agility in leveraging category and shopper insights to unlock sales opportunities
Self-managed and self-motivated
