We are on the hunt for commercially astute, progressive, and broadly experienced National Logistics Manager for our Australian business.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record and expertise in end-to-end Logistics and Transport, including Linehaul, Container Cartage, Route Distribution and Home Delivery.
About the role
You’ll lead the Logistics, Delivery & Installation and Returns functions within our growing Australian operation for our Appliances, Spares and Consumables and Workshop operations, including a growing fleet of company owned delivery vehicles, 3PL transport operations, wharf cartage and cross-dock operations.
As the National Logistics Manager, you’ll ensure continuous process improvement through route optimisation, contracts & procurement and foster a strong health and safety culture. Utilising cross-functional collaboration to ensure processes are cost effective and ensuring the efficient distribution of goods, in conjunction with a safety, cost and service management approach.

Ideally you will have previous experience in 3PL Performance Management, Delivery and Installation and Reverse Logistics as well as strong familiarity and experience with driving health, safety and environmental outcomes.
You’ll be a great communicator and collaborator. Building rapport and being an influencer are all key attributes.
You’ll be curious about how we improve and refine our Home Delivery and Installation experience.

Reporting to the General Manager, Operations, you’ll be prepared to set and achieve challenging targets and expectations, take action, and consistently strive for outstanding results.
Your technical skills
Logistics Management: Proven experience in supply chain management, including planning, implementing, and controlling the effective flow of goods in order to meet key stakeholder requirements.
Management of contract and service level agreements: A strong track record of defining and managing key SLAs and KPIs for transportation and logistics partners.
Commercial management: Ownership of the Logistics P&L, management of rate structures for 3rd party carriers and key cost drivers of our company owned fleet of vehicles.
Customer service delivery: Passion for driving and achieving outstanding customer and end user service outcomes and industry leading Net Promotor Score results.
Process management: Proven experience and knowledge of systems to define, visualise, measure, control, report and constantly improve processes with the goal to meet key stakeholder requirements.
Computer skills: Advanced level of skill in using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of JDE. Able to use Microsoft Outlook to a competent level.
You will have the ability to learn new systems quickly.
