As the National Logistics Operations Manager, you will provide operational leadership and guidance of the warehousing and distribution functions for the Lifeblood consumable inventory network.
Working closely with the Customer Service Delivery Managers, who deliver services in each region, you will provide operational guidance and strategic implementation support.

In this role you will have oversight of the consumable inventory distribution network including nine consumable inventory warehouses (3PL & inhouse), satellite inventory hubs, supplier inbound transport operations & contracts, customer distribution operations & contracts, contract management, performance reporting and network transformation.

Reporting to the Logistics Director and working closely with the project team you will also assist in the execution of the Logistics Strategy, transforming our Logistics function by establishing fit for purpose warehouses, transport and associated vendor management

  • Significant logistics industry experience with a preference on Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences logistics
  • High levels of expertise in logistics operations and contracts management gained in an operational and change management capacity within a highly regulated, process driven organisation with an integrated workforce across a national footprint
  • Proven ability to develop effective interpersonal relationships and consult with a range of external and internal stakeholders in a highly institutionalised environment
  • A logical thinker with a customer first approach and a can-do attitude.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing tenders and logistics providers with a proven track record on developing operational relationships
  • Successful track record in the operational delivery of a network of vendors and suppliers including outsourced providers, consumables management and procurement planning and operations
  • In-depth experience in implementing and managing 3PL operations and contracts
  • Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills with an ability to influence, collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, external and internal
