The Opportunity
This is a hands on role responsible for the operations, support and expansion of wireless Ethernet and IP / MPLS Network with a key focus on Service Assurance. In this role you be responsible for the day to day operation of the network and be involved in incident, problem and change management.
Skills Required
- 5 years experience working in Network Operations preferably with an MSP
- Good understanding of Networking including IP Addressing, TCP/IP and Ethernet protocols, IP Routing protocols (BGP/ISIS), telecommunications data services, access-lists, network security and firewall implementations.
- Proficient understanding of Ethernet, 802.1q, 802.1ad and Spanning Tree Protocol (STP)
- General network protocol knowledge and experience with DNS, DHCP, VRRP, LACP, SNMP
- Experience using and configuring device management tools for network management and monitoring purposes.
- CCNA/CCNP/JNCIS/JNCIP highly advantageous
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to work without supervision as well as in a team environment.
