AddressOur client is looking for a Senior Network Security Operations Lead for a long term, renewable contract. The successful candidate will support the operations of firewall services and technology and have a thorough understanding of the key technologies used to provide firewall operational support based on the full suite of Palo Alto services.
The position will requireexperience with building, implementing and supporting firewall policies, troubleshooting flows and connectivity, supporting firewall configurations and services and maintaining firewall life-cycle management activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead position serving as level 3 support for global operations team
- Ensure tickets are reviewed and assigned to engineers.
- Review change requests to ensure that they are technically sound for management approval.
- Deploy bare metal and virtual-based firewalls
- Create and Maintain automation for builds and changes utilizing Terraform &/or Ansible
- Enable and manage firewall services, such as VPNs and Network IPS
- Engage in and collaborate with vendor on issues and incidents.
- Perform troubleshooting: flows, performance, availability
- Strictly follow Change Management Processes & Move to Production process which includes checking that tools and documentation are up to date
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience managing firewalls and firewall configurations required, preferred experience with Palo Alto devices & services
- Experience with Palo Alto required
- Familiarity with Cisco beneficial
- Extensive experience supporting and operating IDS and IPS services required
- Experience integrating firewalls with SIEM services, such as Splunk
- Passion to work as a leader of a team focused on constant improvement and excellence
- Lead and participate in group projects with global regional team members.
