Network Security Engineer

Project responsibilities

Assisting project with firewall policy flows (identifying required rules for application flows, VPN/NAT connectivity requirements.
Firewall Policy/Rule design if required.
Implementation of firewall rules changes as per project requirements.
Network Architecture input

Governance/Risk/Compliance

Change Management
Firewall rule revalidation
Security control Optimisation
Firewall rule housekeeping
IPS, IDS, antivirus, antibot configuration review
Policies, procedures, and standards
Review and approval of patch and signatures updates
Review and approval of infrastructure upgrades
3rd party management
Security control change compliance
Participation and input to network security architecture

Skills & Expertise:
10 years firewall management experience
Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, CheckPoint, Algosec, Splunk (FortiGate desirable)
Firewall Rulebase best practices
NAT, VPNs, IPS/IDS, Networking, TCP/IP
Security Design/Architecture knowledge
Experience managing Netskope desirable.
Cisco WSA desirable
CISSP, any other industry accredited certifications
