The Chronic and Complex service aims to deliver better health outcomes and reduce hospitalisation rates by improved integration of care with existing GPs, providing specialist assessment, negotiated, comprehensive care plans and early escalation pathways for clients in the Northern suburbs. The service provides a targeted and individualised service to consumers with complex chronic health or psychosocial needs at risk of recurrent ED presentations, admissions and readmissions. The service is primarily delivered in the home, with telehealth, phone or in-clinic appointments at the Barwon Health North (BHN) site as required.
About the role
As the Clinical Neuropsychologist you will be responsible for neuropsychological assessment and consumer-centred intervention within the Chronic and Complex Service. This role is responsible for ensuring contemporary evidence-based psychology services. The Clinical Neuropsychologist is also required to provide secondary consultation to the chronic and complex team with the aim of maximizing the efficacy of the full range of interventions delivered.
All activities of the position will reflect current best practice standards. The position will operate according to relevant legislation, Barwon Health policies, and program and department guidelines. Barwon Health is a values-based organisation and all staff demonstrates this in their work with clients, team members and community. The primary location for the role is Barwon Health North, however may be moved to other Barwon Health locations depending on service delivery needs

Essential: Masters or Doctoral level qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology.
Essential: Registered as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with specialist endorsement as a Clinical Neuropsychologist.
Essential: Registered as a supervisor with AHPRA.
Essential: Current Victorian Driver's licence or equivalent.
Essential: Proven ability to conduct neuropsychological assessments and the capacity to confidently and effectively communicate these findings both verbally and in writing to all other relevant and appropriate parties
Essential: Experience working with clients with neuropsychological conditions, and proven ability to provide evidence based interventions for people with neuropsychological impairments.
Essential: Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a positive team environment.
Essential: Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including a diverse client base, community service agencies, community groups and individuals who have limited resources.
Essential: Experience using Microsoft Programs and Clinical Databases.
Desirable: Previous experience providing supervision to Master's and Doctorate Students
Desirable: Previous experience in delivering care in the home environment.
Desirable: Clinical knowledge and experience working with clients with chronic disease and/or complex psychosocial needs.
