Mount Isa Mines are currently seeking multiple Diamond Drill Offsiders in the Fill & Services team at the George Fisher Mine Operations. This position is residentially based in Mount Isa and is an entry level position to get your start in the underground mining industry.

The Role
We are looking for motivated and physically fit individuals to join us in the role of Diamond Drill Offsiders within the Fill & Services Department. Reporting to the Diamond Drill & Raisebore Supervisor, you will be required to offside and support a Diamond Driller. Offsiding involves manual handling of drill tubes and core samples, housekeeping, assisting with rig up/down and other general diamond drilling related activities. The roster for this role is on a 7 on 7 off day and night continuous shift.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Assisting the Diamond Driller with all drilling related tasks
- Working safely and efficiently
The successful candidate will possess:
- A demonstrated history of reliability and punctuality
- Current Australian Manual Drivers Licence
- Hard working, reliable and able to work unsupervised
- Strong focus on completing the job safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent trouble-shooting & problem solving skills
- Flexible approach and adaptable to change with a high attention to detail
- Good time management skills and able to work well under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
