About the role:
The successful Nurse manager will be working across both community and Inpatient services of Manning mental health.
You will be leading a team of progressive leaders engaging and empowering to build passion, commitment and excellence in health service.
This position is a key nursing lead in Hunter New England Manning Mental Health services to coordinate and direct nursing standards of practice and models of care (across the lifespan) and to provide strategic advice towards the design, development and implementation of projects in the areas of community nursing and workforce planning.
Supported through local service manager, Mental Health operational manager. Peer network of Nurse managers and professional line support.

- Hold a current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with demonstrated experience at a senior nursing management level with relevant tertiary qualifications, or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and work experience.

To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport. All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
