Communicable Diseases Prevention Unit:
- The Communicable Diseases Prevention Unit has various multidisciplinary teams and sits within Public Health Services.
- Coordinate the delivery of Public Health Response and Infection Prevention and Control within the CDPU in accordance with best practice principles and within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to the CDPU Management Team and relevant committees/forums in relation to Public Health Response and Infection Prevention and Control practices, policies and procedures.
- Facilitate expert advice on Public Health Response and Infection Prevention and Control issues, policies and practices.
- Facilitate educational activities in relation to Public Health Response and Infection Prevention and Control.
Position Features:
- Relevant post graduate qualifications
Permanent, full time, day work, position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Base Salary: $108,967 to $115,103 per annum + 10.5% superannuation
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service Agreement) 2019
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $750 per annum
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- crimes of violence
- sex related offences
- serious drug offences
- crimes involving dishonesty
- Identification check
- Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
