Tell me more...The Clinical Nurse Consultant (Nurse Navigator) position is responsible for providing a high level of communication and clinical skills to holistically assess the health and well-being of the complex needs of patients within the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service (TCHHS).
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated expertise in leadership, service planning and change management.
- Demonstrates sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory.
- Demonstrated advanced interpersonal communication skills with various stakeholders (staff, clients, relatives, community groups etc.).
- Base comprising salary between $118,993.00 - $129,189.00 p.a
- Generous employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%)

- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and/or registration/endorsement with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to commencement of clinical duties. Current registration with the Australian Health Practice Registration Authority (APHRA) as a registered nurse and current practising certificate is mandatory.
- Minimum of five years' experience (clinical or management) post registration
- It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against COVID-19 (
