About this role
Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre. SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical services including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery, and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre and is the principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.
The Nurse Practitioner practices as a Senior Registered Nurse (SRN) in keeping with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board Registration Standards and Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart. Providing a clinical service in collaboration with other health professionals. Performs advanced physical assessment; orders diagnostic tests, interprets results, initiates referrals to relevant health providers, prescribes, and provides clinical leadership as appropriate in line with organisational values and behaviours.
The Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner will work autonomously and in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to optimise inpatient and outpatient care and outcomes. The position will work within the Nurse Practitioner standard of practice to ensure best practice care provision to patients presenting with vascular diseases within North Metropolitan Health Service.
This role reports to Deputy Nurse Co-Director.
