About the job:
Come and further develop your skills by being responsible for all aspects of the unit environment and the standard of patient care in the unit.
The NUM is pivotal to the coordination of patient care, unit management and leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and efficient use of resources.
We need you to have prior NUM experience. The Nursing Unit Manager Level 2 responsibilities in relation to patient services, ward or unit management and staff management are in excess of those of a nursing unit manager Level 1.
CO-ORDINATION OF PATIENT SERVICES:
You will be able to liaise with a multidisciplinary team for the provision of services to meet patient needs.
This will include the orchestration of services to meet patient needs after discharge; monitoring catering and transport services.
UNIT MANAGEMENT:Ensure the implementation of hospital/health service policy:
dissemination of information to all personnel;
maintaining environmental safety;
monitoring the use and maintenance of equipment;
monitoring the supply and use of stock and supplies;
monitoring cleaning services.
STAFF MANAGEMENT:
Challenge your leadership skills by providing direction, coordination and supervision of midwifery/ nursing activities;
training, appraisal and counselling of midwives and nurses;
rostering and/or allocation of midwifery/nursing staff;
Development and/or implementation of new midwifery and nursing practice according to patient needs.

Moree is located on the banks of the Mehi River, in the centre of the rich black-soil plains. Requirements
Nursing Degree with current AHPRA Registration
Prior NUM Experience

Support by the Acute Health Service Manager Moree Hospital, other NUMs/MUM as part of the Moree Management team and the wider HNELHD Services and Personnel.
All NSW Employees have access to the following:

An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part-time and temporary full or part-time vacancies.
