An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and dynamic registered nurse, with experience in management, to join a dynamic team of community nurses at Northern Sydney Home Nursing Service, Brookvale. This role requires the NUM to work a seven day rotating roster, with on call after hours and covering all 6 sites at weekends every 4-6 weeks.

Where you'll be working
You will be working at the NSHNS centre based in the Brookvale Community Health Centre.
What you'll be doing
You will be providing clinical leadership and management to the team of RNs, ENs, CNC and Admin Staff, ensuring that patients and carers receive safe, quality, appropriate, person centred and effective nursing care.
Included in this role is managing the Centre and assuming responsibility for Service at weekends, evenings and public holidays as rostered / delegated.
The NUM grade 3 is responsible for the maintenance of safe, quality clinical patient care standards and ensuring all care is developed within a collaborative framework where patients and carers are partners in care
Leading the ongoing development of processes to fully integrate quality, risk management, patient safety and infection control processes within APAC/NSHNS at the centre level.
Communicating effectively with the NSHNS Management Team in relation to all aspects of patient care, staff and resource management.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

- Registered Nurse-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) AND Relevant management tertiary qualification OR equivalent work experience, OR a combination of study and work experience; and demonstrated commitment to professional development.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and support a clinical team.
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Applications, roster management systems and electronic medical records.
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in change management and initiating a new service delivery model within an established service.
- Evidence of and commitment to patient/customer focussed care, clinical governance and quality improvement.
