The Role
Northern Health, Renal Dialysis Nurse Unit Manager, Broadmeadows Hospital and Craigieburn Centre
- Full time, 80 hours Fortnight
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the position of Nurse Unit Manager for our Northern Health Broadmeadows Hospital and Craigieburn Centre Haemodialysis Satellite Units, which includes 12 chairs at Broadmeadows and 6 chairs at Craigieburn to work with our dedicated team of staff.
The role will incorporate working collaboratively with our dedicated on-site Nephrologists, Renal Educators, Nurse Unit Managers of Northern Hospital Satellite Unit and Home Dialysis Unit to oversee and manager pre-dialysis and post-dialysis patient care. This is an exciting opportunity to join and lead the team as our renal service capability at Northern Health grows to meet future demands in areas including home haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Minimum of 4 years' postgraduate nursing experience, preferably at the level of ANUM and in the area of Haemodialysis.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- High-level communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire and manage staff.
- Knowledge of financial and budgetary and human resources processes.
- Knowledge of current statutory requirements including relevant awards and workplace safety
- Postgraduate qualification, preferably at Masters level in renal medicine or similar (e.g. Haemodialysis)
