The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work out of a purpose-built centre that has won awards for its unique design. There are ten generous-sized rooms with great outdoor areas for learning experiences. The service caters to 112 children at full occupancy. This role will work with the team in the nursery of just eight babies and be supported by experienced Educators.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience leading a small team of educators, act as a positive mentor, and develop effective teamwork strategies to ensure ongoing collaborative and positive communication strategies to guide day-to-day routines, programs and developments.
Candidates must be dedicated, reliable and committed to working within our team. The ability to work between 7.30 am and 6.00 pm is helpful.
Requirements of the role include:
A completed Diploma in Child Services (or higher)
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong understanding of contemporary child-safe practices and sound knowledge of the mandatory reporter requirements and child-safe standards
Ability to document, develop, plan and implement learning experiences that are delivered in an age-appropriate, safe, challenging and stimulating way for children
Contribute to program reflections and program developments as part of the team environment.
Apply a professional level of physical and emotional energy consistently five days a week.
