The Nursing Midwifery Recruitment team forms part of the Nursing Midwifery Workforce Unit in the People and Culture team within Barwon Health and supports clinical mangers in the recruitment of all Grade 2 Registered and Endorsed Enrolled Nurses. The unit is responsible for recruitment processes that align with clinical service plans to provide an adequate pipeline of suitably skilled nurses and midwives.
About the role
We are seeking a current Registered Nurse or Midwife with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as the Nursing and Midwifery Recruitment Manager at Barwon Health. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire recruitment process for Grade 2 Registered Nurses, Endorsed Enrolled Nurses, RUSONs/RUSOMs, and healthcare workers. Your primary objective will be to;
Ensure high-quality and timely recruitment practices that create a positive experience for both job candidates and hiring managers.
Be responsible for planning and coordinating recruitment activities, ensuring a consistent pipeline of skilled nurses and midwives to meet the operational needs of the health service.
Collaborating closely with Nurse Unit Managers, Midwifery Unit Managers, and Facility Managers, you will ensure that recruitment practices align with department requirements.
Provide exceptional customer care by effectively communicating with candidates and managers throughout the recruitment process.
Support staff transition within Barwon Health, including internal transfers, casual positions, pool placements, post-graduate programs, and other transition initiatives
Oversee the recruitment team and ensure the implementation of sound and effective end-to-end recruitment processes.
Establish and nurture relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, further strengthening the organisation's recruitment capabilities.
Develop and execute a strategic vision for Nursing Midwifery recruitment at Barwon Health, driving the organisation forward by proactively identifying and implementing innovative recruitment strategies and practices.
