Occupational Therapist in SA - Thrive on a quality opportunity!
This highly sought after position within our legendary team doesn't come along often… We are seeking an outgoing and personable occupational therapist with excellent clinical and communication skills to join our mobile allied health team!
You must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and be intuitive, self-driven and have an independent ability to manage your time and clinical work load. Prior experience in adult disability / geriatric services is preferred, but not essential.
A bit about the role
Your job SHOULD be one that fits into YOUR life, so you can enjoy the warm fuzzy feeling of being in a position where you are valued, needed, appreciated and that gives back what you put in.
This role is suited to individuals who are passionate to work with adults with physical, developmental and cognitive disabilities, some with mental health conditions.
You will be paid in hours worked - develop your own caseload to maintain work/life balance and optimise variety in your role. Work as much as little as you like being in charge of your workload, whist still having administrative support and paid administration time. Great for part time therapists wanting variety or working mums and dads wanting some more quality time in work/ life roles!
This role is better suited to experienced therapists, but those new in their career are welcome to apply as we offer extensive support within our senior team. This role is permanent part time (0.4 to 0.8 FTE) with the option to move into a full time position once you settle in. A full time role however will be considered for the right applicant at onboarding.
Alternatively we offer a subcontractor equivalent.
Your Role Will Include:
A very flexible case load of mixed clinical presentations from a variety of funding bodies, but largely based in the community supporting younger adult Australians with complex disabilities and a small selection of geriatric clientele.
Your role may include a mixture of:

A bit about Equipt To Thrive (formerly Safe Work Practice)
Safe Work Practice was established in Adelaide in 1998, originally providing occupational health services. Now our organisation also works heavily in community and residential settings providing quality person centred supports to younger adults and older Australians, supporting the more complex spectrum of physical supports in the SA community. As such, we have rebranded part of our business as Equipt To Thrive to better portray our identity.
We are a strong team of 6 Occupational Therapists (1 principal), 8 physiotherapists (4 seniors) and 6 therapy assistants, a therapy coordinator and 2 admin support staff.
We have an office in Mawson Lakes (if you choose to use it) to provide you space to perform administrative duties, enjoy great coffee and snacks or you may prefer to work from home.
We look forward to hearing from you!
