REQUIREMENTS

Suitable applicants must:

• Be purpose driven to improve the health outcomes of the clients we work with.
• Have a growth mindset, be adaptable and eager to learn.
• Have a client centred approach that is both professional and empathetic.
• Have experience working with clients across the lifespan and from diverse backgrounds.
• Be able to employ a range of creative therapy skills to support clients to achieve their health goals.
• Have experience in completing assessments and writing high quality reports including Functional Capacity Assessments, Assistive Technology Assessments and Home Modification Assessments. 
• Be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Essential requirements: 

• Minimum 3 years’ experience working as an Occupational Therapist
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current Drivers Licence 
• Current police record check and blue card or ability to obtain both.
• Current registration with Occupational Therapy Board AHPRA
• NDIS Workers Screening or ability to obtain. 
• QLD Drivers Authority or ability to obtain.

Desirable:

• Experience working in remote communities and an understanding of engaging with clients from culturally diverse backgrounds.
• Experience working within the NDIS system.
• Ability to think laterally and adapt assessments and treatments to suit remote localities with potentially limited resources.
