REQUIREMENTS
Suitable applicants must:
- Be purpose driven to improve the health outcomes of the clients we work with.
- Have a growth mindset, be adaptable and eager to learn.
- Have a client centred approach that is both professional and empathetic.
- Have experience working with clients across the lifespan and from diverse backgrounds.
- Be able to employ a range of creative therapy skills to support clients to achieve their health goals.
- Have experience in completing assessments and writing high quality reports including Functional Capacity Assessments, Assistive Technology Assessments and Home Modification Assessments.
- Be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Essential requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working as an Occupational Therapist
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current Drivers Licence
- Current police record check and blue card or ability to obtain both.
- Current registration with Occupational Therapy Board AHPRA
- NDIS Workers Screening or ability to obtain.
- QLD Drivers Authority or ability to obtain.
Desirable:
- Experience working in remote communities and an understanding of engaging with clients from culturally diverse backgrounds.
- Experience working within the NDIS system.
- Ability to think laterally and adapt assessments and treatments to suit remote localities with potentially limited resources.
