This position qualifies for a Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $5,000 under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.
Packages may consist of relocation benefits, a fortnightly Rural Retention Allowance, contributions to professional development and utility reimbursements, in addition to accommodation assistance.
To recognise ongoing service in this role, once the successful candidate has served a qualifying period, they will become entitled to a reoccurring Rural Retention Allowance valued at $5,000 (as taxable income).

About the role:
As the Community Health OT you will provide a range of interventions to the community as well as in reach to the general hospital at Cowra and outreach to Grenfell.
Community Heath has a range of nursing and allied health services including community nursing, child and family nursing, ambulatory care, chemotherapy social work, speech pathology, physiotherapy, Aboriginal health and dietetics.

Where you’ll be working:
Cowra Health Service, a part of the Western NSW Local Health District. Cowra is located 310 kilometres due west of Sydney, 92 kilometres south west of Orange, 110 kilometres south west of Bathurst and just over two hours from the nation’s capital, Canberra.
Cowra Health Service is a procedural hospital with 30 beds including 24-hour emergency care, acute and sub-acute/non-acute inpatient services including medical, surgical, rehabilitation, maternity, palliative care, diagnostic services, outpatient services including renal dialysis and a range of primary and community health care services.
