Occupational Therapist - Regional Queensland

Curis Recruitment is currently partnering with this fantastic aboriginal health service based in Queensland to help them find a new Occupational Therapist to join their mulit-disciplinary team.

As an Occupational Therapist for this organisation, you will be providing relevant professional services based on the needs and goals of the individual client, including home modifications, aids/equipment assessment and recommendations, occupational therapy interventions and education, and health promotion activities and advice.

Job Details:

• Managing an allocated caseload and completing therapeutic services in a timely manner
• Interpreting findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant.
• Provide therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based and help participants get more out of life.
• Provide support and advice on adaptations to the environment including home, school, work, and residential facilities.
• Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance.

You will be living in a country town located within the rich agricultural area of the Darling Downs. The town offers affordable living while providing access to a wide range of local services and activities with specialised services available in nearby Toowoomba. The town continues to grow and develop with diverse industries including agriculture, retail, health services, meat processing, army aviation training and mining providing employment opportunities for the local community.

To be eligible for this position you must:

• Have recognised Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
• Current AHPRA Registration
• Current Working with Childrens Suitability Notice (Blue Card)
• Current National Police Check
• Experience in Indigenous Health highly regarded
