Permanent part time opportunity to deliver high level Occupational Therapy clinical services to the Specialist Palliative Care Service within The Prince Charles Hospital

About the role

  • Permanent part time opportunity to deliver high level Occupational Therapy clinical services to the Specialist Palliative Care Service within The Prince Charles Hospital as a member of a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders and customers of Queensland Health.
  • This role is designed to work collaboratively with MNH Community Palliative Care services and referring services to support the transition between services and ensure client-centred care.
  • Contribute to service maintenance and service improvement activities within the Specialist Palliative Care Service at The Prince Charles Hospital and across MNH Palliative Care Services.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Deliver high level Occupational Therapy clinical services to the Specialist Palliative Care Service within a multidisciplinary team in The Prince Charles Hospital in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision
  • Provide clinical advice to members of the multidisciplinary team, service managers and other stakeholders regarding service delivery and clinical service development.
  • Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within Occupational Therapy and the Specialist Palliative Care Service.
  • Contribute to effective team dynamics and client and stakeholder relationships utilising high level communication and negotiation skills.
