Flexible working hours and the opportunity to organise your own timetable, this contractor role would suit someone who values work autonomy with a passion for working with disadvantaged Melbournians.
The Occupational Therapist will be based at Launch Housing Southbank and will be working within a multi-disciplinary team including 2 nurses, an AoD team, Operations team and a Case Management team. The focus of the Occupational Therapist is outlined below:
- Improving pathways for Launch Housing Southbank clients to access other external service providers/partners
- Assess and assist with independent living skills
- Enabling more timely access to a greater range of services for residents of Launch Housing Southbank
- Advocate on behalf of clients with other agencies to ensure access and delivery of effective services
- Provide specific OT services and programs, including comprehensive client assessments
- Increase Launch Housing's ability to support clients to achieve and maintain stable housing by actively improving pathways for clients to access the support services they require
- Provide outreach support by assessing properties for clients moving into more permanent housing if required
- Involve clients and carers in developing case plans

Who we're looking for
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
- A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Must have registration with APHRA
- All relevant insurances and ABN required to practice as a Contractor
