The Position
This temporary 12 month position will coordinate the overall operation of the relevant Out Of School Hours (OOSH) Programs (Before School Care, After School Care, Vacation Care) including the education and care of children, liaison with parents, programming, management of staff, budgeting, administration, quality assurance and marketing of the Program.
Qualifications & experience
- Minimum Diploma in Child Care Services with 2 years’ experience or equivalent
- Class C (standard) Driver’s Licence (compulsory to have and maintain)
- Current First Aid Certificate, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
- Relevant experience working with school age children
- Demonstrated experience managing/supervising in a children’s service setting
Tasks & responsibilities
- Ensure a suitable and viable service is provided to meet the needs of the community, in an efficient and effective manner.
- Ensure that the Program is accessible to children with additional needs.
- Work Collaboratively across programs within AlburyCity and the Children’s Services to ensure regulatory requirements and policies and procedures are consistently implemented, monitored and reviewed at the service.
- Manage OOSH Program staff performance and development, work planning, staff motivation and team development.
- Coordinate the program in line with AlburyCity procurement Guidelines
- Attend relevant meetings, in service training courses, seminars and conferences to keep informed of current issues in relation to children’s services.
- Ensure the confidentiality of parents, children, staff, and the service as a whole, is maintained at all times.
- Ensure all forms/indemnities are kept in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver customer service excellence.
- Ensure a high level and viable service is provided to meet the needs of the community.
- Continuously researching innovative ideas and evaluating the OOSH service and facilitate change as appropriate.
This role will
- Attract a salary of $75,788 to $83,367 plus 10.5% Superannuation
- Work a 35 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 6.00pm, with a Rostered Day Off in accordance with AlburyCity guidelines.
- This is a Temporary Full Time position. (Up to 12 Months) with the possibility of extension
