AFS permanent formwork systems are a smarter way to build compliant, concrete structural walls above and below ground. Part of the CSR Building Products group and is regularly specified with its product family, including Gyprock, Hebel and Cemintel.
The objective of this role is to drive strategic imperatives for the AFS business, ensuring production, quality, safety and growth outcomes are achieved in line with CSR goals, at both the Minto and Goulburn manufacturing plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set, track and measure strategic plans (capital, operating structure, capacity.)
- Strategically manage capital and commercial strategy.
- Manage performance through leveraging production, supply and contracts.
- Drive a high-performance culture through the leadership of your on-site management team.
- Standardise and implement global best practice processes and procedures across sites including cost/continuous improvement plans.
- Drive engagement on safety, environment performance, quality, supply service and cost.
- Contribute to setting of the business strategy.
Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years relevant work experience.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business or Commerce.
- Experience in both batch and bespoke manufacturing.
- High level of commercial acumen and success in running your employer’s business like it’s your own.
- Lean principles or similar operational improvement disciplines.
- Strong leadership qualities and a track record in developing your team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Forecasting and budgeting.
