What is the Opportunity?
Due to recent growth in our business, we now have an exciting newly created role for an experienced Operations and Service Manager to join our passionate, highly driven and successful Operations and Aftermarket teams. Based at our Regency Park site, the successful candidate will oversee and manage the state Operations and Aftermarket service including Rentals, Laundry, Logistics and Warehouse as well as leadership of the Service Technicians and Installers. The role is responsible for providing leadership, guidance and direction to direct employees and ensure effective supervision of the state Operations and Aftermarket business.
You will need to have experience leading a large dynamic business, working closely with your teams and be proven in the profitable running, development and improvement of business operations, systems and processes of a substantial portfolio.

We are looking for a person to:
Provide leadership to multiple Operations and Service Technicians in the SA state teams in accordance with company policies and sound commercial sense.
Provide knowledge, advice, direction and feedback on a daily basis. Act as a mentor and coach to direct reports.
Promote, prepare and sell Service products to customers directly and as required via the product sales team.
Plan, coordinate and manage daily processes so as to assure customer satisfaction, maximize overall efficiency on and off-the job site and to control costs.
Performance Management of employees including assisting with incident investigations that include Operations and Aftermarket employees.
Conduct regular ongoing Performance Reviews (Continuous Conversations) using Coaching and the GROW model. Annual Salary and Bonus Plan development and reviews. Talent Management of up and coming employees and succession planning.
Induct new employees, conduct Probation Reviews.
Coach or direct Operations and Aftermarket employees on a daily basis. Ensure that all field service reports, customer signoffs, technical evaluations and expenses reports are submitted in writing on a timely and thorough basis.
Ensure the training programs for both Operations and Service Technicians are implemented and reviewed.
Assume responsibility for the state Operations and Aftermarket expense budget.
Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company and promote positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors.
Act as an Operations and Aftermarket representative at company meetings and functions and contribute to these.
Build and develop the relationship between the customer and Arjo. Ensure customer satisfaction on an ongoing basis.
Ensure site operates according to internal Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001.
Ensure that all state Operations and Aftermarket employees and activities are compliant with the Arjo OHS Management Plan, health and safety Policies and Procedures and the Occupational Safety & Health Act 1984.
To be successful in this position, you will possess:
At least 5 years’ experience in an Operations and Service Manager role
Experience and knowledge of the healthcare market and established relationships with potential customers would be a benefit, but not essential.
Strong knowledge of technical service delivery and inventory management.
Experience in managing teams, demonstrating strong leadership skills with a proven ability to successfully coach and develop teams.
Strong results orientation and ability to demonstrate experience in achieving targets
A high level of confidence and comfort in various health care/medical settings and environments including executive suites.
An obvious passion for exceeding customer's expectations.
Ability to work collaboratively with both customers and colleagues.
Strong impact and presence with the ability to motivate and influence people.
Excellent organisational, time management, planning and analytical skills underpinned by personal accountability.
A high level of empathy and sensitivity to patients, residents and staff in health and medical settings.
Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Windows operating system and MS Office applications.
Technical Acumen, project management experience.
