The Role
As the Operations Coordinator – Safety and Compliance, you will provide effective and timely administration and coordination to the Home Delivery Centre (HDC) site leaders in support of ongoing operational safety compliance.
- Provide support to the HDC Site Leads with incident and hazard reporting, information gathering, accurate recording of incidents and/or hazards and action plans
- Maintain the site’s safety risk management system, the contractor management system and internal safety communications/boards with accurate and relevant information
- Coordinate requests and take action to ensure the HDCs have the required first aid resources, safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) available to them
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation and training materials that set safety standards across sites
- Provide support to ensure all areas of the HDC are meeting their Emergency Management compliance requirements
- Conduct all site related safety induction and refresher training for new & existing team members and contractors
- Assist HDC Site Leads with the implementation of relevant and effective safety policies, procedures and strategies that reduce safety risks, reduce financial impacts, ensure compliance, and demonstrate continuous improvement of safety results
This is a Part-time position of 20 hours per week, based at the Sydney HDC in Marsden Park.
About You
- Forklift License (preferred but not essential)
- Warehouse / Storeroom operational experience
- Safety and or First Aid related training (preferred but not essential)
