THE OPPORTUNITY

• Coordinate the forward planning, event setups and manage assigned raceday and non-race day events
• Deliver outstanding customer service that demonstrates we deliver on our promises, resulting in repeat clients and events
• Conduct detailed pre-service event briefings for all event team members, assigning room sections and responsibilities for pre, during and post event. Complete post event and shift reports
• Attend regular event and operations meetings, liaising with the event manager prior to every event or function
• Assist in areas such as logistics, venue services, event management as required based on workload and business needs
• Other related Events Operations duties as required
• Implement and oversee procedures as required.
• Oversee ATM and Eftpos requirements
• Ensure all stock control and accounting paperwork is completed for all event outlets in order to maintain stock control and security
• Control labour costs in attributed outlets and efficiently in ways to create a cost optimization strategy
• In conjunction with the Head of Hospitality, develop and implement strategies and standards to improve event customer, food and beverage event service and improve and controlling operational event efficiencies
• Report and manage poor performance of team members to the Head of Operations and HR team
• Create rosters for raceday and non race day events
• Extract rosters and fill as required
• Time and attendance processed on time and pay queries addressed
• Implement occupational health & safety, RSA, HACCP, emergency evacuation, first aid and equal employment opportunity initiatives to contribute to a safe healthy equitable and ethical workplace

To be successful in the role, the right fit will possess:

• Experience in food & beverage service and operations with a reputation for quality customer service;
• Strong team leadership, supervisory and motivational skills are a must including improving the performance of a team of people in a customer service environment;
• Interpretation and application of legislation relevant to food and beverage services such as HACCP, RSA and OH&S;
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, plan and execute multiple tasks;
• Sound conflict resolution and problem-solving skills;
• Computer literacy and skills in Word and Excel as well as experience with systems such as EBMS, HumanForce, Visio, Task Retail would be advantageous;
