Reporting to the Terminal Manager, your role as an Operations Manager - Freight, will see you responsible for day to day operational management of service level agreements and leadership of team members within the Freight terminal. You will be a key influencer and driver in evolving a workplace culture to drive consistency and accountability through the optimisation of resources, safety, customer service, on time performance and financial controls. In addition, will also be responsible for the management of employee performance, welfare and absence discussions in the workplace.
You’ll have –
Previous experience leading, coaching and mentoring a team of direct reports
Positive and analytical approach to problem solving and the capacity to produce results within specified timeframes particularly incidents of non-compliance.
Firm understanding of the airline industry and the operational environment
Detailed understanding of all aspects of operational, safety, security and emergency standard operating procedures
Demonstrated ability to deliver results within complex business & operational environments with varying stakeholder needs and expectations
Ability to work a rotating 24/7 roster with the possibility of extended night shift rosters
Self-motivated, with the ability to show initiative and flexibility
A positive, results focused disposition and do not shy away from challenges being thrown your way
