We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Managerto join our team in Wacol, QLD. Reporting to the General Manager – Construction Solutions, you will be responsible for planning, direction, and coordination of all plant operations in accordance with company direction and strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all OH&S requirements are met.
- Plan, develop and co-ordinate manufacturing and production operations and activities, ensuring required level of quality and service is delivered to meet budget
- Analysis of operational procedures to identify areas for system and process improvement
- Assume full responsibility for production performance, cost and delivery
- Lead with a focus on positive culture and maximising efficient and effective manufacturing process and practices
- Effectively communicate ideas and solutions to leadership teams across operational and functional areas
- Ensure compliance with third party certifications and business policies
- Responsible for Purchasing and Inventory Control procedures in accordance with monthly demand and stock requirements
- Maintain compliance with ISO9001:2015 Quality requirements
- Maintain high level of employee/employer relationships
- Responsibility for Production Planning and Logistics
To Be Successful
- High degree of Quality & Safety Awareness
- Management experience in manufacturing
- Knowledge of building and construction industry
- Qualifications in Lean Manufacturing preferred
- Tertiary Qualifications in Supply Chain Management or an MBA will be highly regarded
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
