We are looking for an Operations Manager to join this organisation to oversee and manage their back/middle office team.
You will be an experienced leader of people with a deep understanding of broking operations, someone with strengths in communication and in managing relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation. A professional who can be both a strategic and operational leader.
You MUST HAVE hands-on knowledge and experience in managing a broking back/middle office and the activities and responsibilities from an operational and compliance perspective. You will have experience and deep knowledge of broking systems, processes, and deadlines. You will know how to deal with day-to-day broking operational processes and issues, as well as less common scenarios.
To be successful we are looking for an individual with:
- Experience in front to back-office operations.
- Hands on knowledge of third party clearing and settlement operations and a solid understanding of financial markets, particularly domestic equities.
- Understanding of trading, clearing and settlement systems e.g. SUMMIT, GBST, IRESS.
- Understanding of international trading, derivatives (options), FX, margin lending would be highly beneficial.
- Management and leadership skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Vendor management experience.
- Very strong communication skills and a highly collaborative style.
- An energetic professional who is happy to get involved and help the team get things done.
