In an exciting new addition to our organisation, we are looking for two Operations Leads in our truck trailer manufacturing facility in Truganina, Melbourne. Both roles will report to the General Manager – Manufacturing.
One role will be responsible for all trailer manufacturing processes before blast including main rails, pre-cut, top fit and dry vans. The other role is responsible for all manufacturing processes from blast through to completion and delivery of all trailers.
The role:
The Operations Leads are responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end delivery of the manufacturing operation to achieve business performance targets around cost, safety, quality, production, service level & capability to achieve world class manufacturing principles and practices.
This will be achieved by coaching, developing, training and motivating the Team Leaders and team members through regular feedback and participation in group decisions, open communication and priority setting.
The Operations Leads are actively involved in developing the medium to longer term improvement and development strategies for the site’s personnel and equipment.
What you’ll need:
We’re looking for individuals with
- Demonstrated experience in a similar manufacturing role within automotive / heavy vehicle industry.
- A hands-on leader, with demonstrated ability to coach and develop team leaders and team members to deliver excellent results.
- Strong understanding of production metrics, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively.
- Proven experience in LEAN manufacturing principles and delivering continuous improvement.
- Computer literate - proficient with MS Office.
