About the Role

As Australia's fifth-largest iron ore producer, MinRes operates three key hubs in Western Australia: Yilgarn, Pilbara, and Ashburton. This portfolio includes the transformational Onslow Iron project, which ranks among the largest iron ore projects under development in Australia and is forecast to ship around 35 million tonnes of ore per year.

Reporting to the Manager - Operations and working on a 5:2 | 4:3 roster, you will coordinate all aspects of operational interfacing. This role involves bridging the corporate Planning Services function with operations team members, both office and site-based, at our Iron Ore operating sites in Western Australia.

Your primary responsibilities may include:

  • Providing leadership and coaching to Ground Control & Water Specialists at our operating sites.
  • Acting as the primary interface for developing workflow interfaces, enhancing information transparency, and fostering collaboration.
  • Integrating planning workflows with the Asset Management Group, Non-Process Infrastructure, and Mine Planning functions to ensure decision alignment and visibility.
  • Supporting the coordination and handover of project scopes from Surface Water, Hydrogeology, and Geotechnics into execution projects.
  • Assisting in managing data, reconciliation, and dashboarding to track plan performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Supporting the development and improvement of the Planning Services Team's 12-month and short-term activity plans.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

Our ideal candidate will possess a strong operational mining background, including experience in working with water infrastructure teams, and a proven track record in team management.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

  • Experience in producing operating plans,
  • Expertise in interfacing between different departments, teams, or areas, and
  • Possession of a current C Class Driver’s Licence in WA.
