OPERATIONS TEAM COORDINATOR

The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Operations Team Coordinator to support task and resource management for the Wakulda Air Battle Space Management System.

Based at RAAF Base Williamtown, this role is the key liaison between BDA Wakulda team, No. 41 Wing and associated Operating Units, to coordinate responses to issues that impact operational availability requirements.

They will have a high level of communication to facilitate open interaction between the customer, customer support teams, repair agencies and key internal and external stakeholders.

The position will primarily focus on triage of system issues, coordination of appropriate Wakulda support resource to deal with the issue, analysis to performance data, planning for schedule servicing, system changes and reporting of Service Desk ticket current status, agreed closure of issue and/or escalation if required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first line support for Customer operational and technical issues
  • Coordinate schedule servicing, equipment changes, Ops equipment release and Ops team support
  • Manage the Maintenance/asset management system
  • Perform first line MRD analysis
  • Draft interim work instruction and system 'help' documents
  • Collect metrics and produce reports for system health
Experience/Qualifications
  • Demonstrated defence knowledge
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience providing engineering and/or logistics support in an Australian Defence Force (ADF) military technical and logistics environments
  • A strong work ethic and a sense of urgency for completing work to agreed schedules
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Basic level leadership skills and ability to work effectively within a group environment and with people across all organisational levels
  • Meet the United States Government's nationality requirements for ITAR clearance
