Form of work Our client is a prominent University recognised globally for education, research, and innovation.
They are seeking an Oracle e-Business Suite Developer responsible for software development and level 3 application support for the Finance, HR/Payroll Systems portfolio of applications. The role involves designing and implementing complex Themis application and integrating it between systems across a variety of technologies.
The Developer will translate functional requirements into technology-based deliverables and is responsible for software creation from inception through to post deployment support.
What your day will look like:
Develop and provide third-level technical support for Themis Application.
Translate functional requirements into technology-based deliverables following development standards.
Create and maintain knowledge artifacts for software support and maintenance.
Collaborate with project teams for designing and developing complex solutions and ensuring integration.
Advise key users, experts, and developers on Oracle e-Business Suite best practices.
Manage production and non-production environments based on SDLC best practices.
Assess impact of application changes before deployment.
Create change requests and software release packages while adhering to principles and policies.
Train other analysts on maintaining software.
Conduct unit tests and QA checks on software development.
Ensure compliance and quality assurance of Themis application with risk management framework, regulations, statutes, policies, and legislation.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
Deep knowledge of Oracle e-Business Suite for financials, HR, and payroll modules with experience in support, maintenance, and enhancement.
Expertise in development tools/languages for Oracle e-Business Suite such as SQL, PL/SQL, Java, OAF, Oracle forms/Reports, Oracle Workflow, AME, XML/BI Publisher, Fast Formulas, and Unix Shell Scripts.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse production incidents and work effectively in a team to resolve multifunctional problems.
Excellent customer focus and relationship management skills.
Experience in software development strategies, SDLC, environment management, and release management practices.
Expertise in developing SOA services (REST and SOAP) using Oracle ISG Gateway, Business Events, and XML payloads.
