Outage Safety Advisor

Randstad are proud to partner with a Queensland-owned and based energy company that provides power to some of our state’s biggest industries and employers.

Our client is seeking an experienced Outage Safety Advisor to join our team at the Kogan plant in Australia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our team during plant outages.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safety advice and guidance during plant outages, conducting safety audits and risk assessments, developing and implementing safety plans and procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Provide safety advice and guidance to the project team, contractors, and stakeholders
• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards
• Develop and implement safety plans and procedures
• Investigate safety incidents and provide recommendations for improvement
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a safety advisor or similar role in a power plant or heavy industry environment
• Excellent knowledge of safety regulations and standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Diploma or Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent
