Byron Central Hospital has an exciting permanent part time opportunity for a paediatric Occupational Therapist to join the Byron Child & Family team to provide high quality clinical services and leadership as an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team for patients/clients of the Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD). The successful applicant will be a dynamic and capable Paediatric Occupational Therapist with well developed specialist skills in assessment and treatment of children 0-17 years of age. This recruitment will be used to generate an e-list for other Lvl 3 Paediatric OT vacancies (temporary / part-time) in the Tweed/Byron area.
If you have/are:
Relevant qualification in Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent post graduate qualifications), eligibility for membership of The Australian Occupational Therapy Association prior to commencing, and registration as an Occupational Therapist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Advanced clinical reasoning and ability to apply professional judgement when performing novel, complex or critical tasks within the scope of practice of the position
Effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others
Ability to utilise problem solving skills and a multidisciplinary team approach in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care

You may be subject to a probationary period of three months from the date of appointment to this position.
To be appointed as a Level 3 Health Professional evidence must be provided of three years' clinical experience and demonstrated experience of extensive specialist knowledge or a high level of broad generalist knowledge within the discipline as defined by the award definitions of a level 3 practitioner
