Inspirations Paint is Australia’s leading Paint Specialists Franchise Group, servicing both the retail and trade markets. A permanent full time position is currently available for a Paint Store Manager in our Smithfield, Cairns company store. As part of the DuluxGroup, a leading marketer and manufacturer of premium branded products, Inspirations Paint employees are part of Australia's largest network of Paint Stores, serving both retail (DIY) and trade (professional/commercial) markets.
Previous experience within the paint industry is preferred as the paint industry is a specialised industry and we pride ourselves on providing accurate and professional advice to our customers, both trade and retail.
The current hands-on position is available for immediate start for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a proven track record managing staff, generating sales and building customer relationships. You must be genuinely interested in people and their projects, with a strong work ethic and exceptional communication skills.

A uniform and mobile phone are supplied. The store is open between 6.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday and 8.00am to 12.00pm Saturday.
Responsibilities include:
- Day to day management, coaching and motivating staff to meet KPIs
- Driving sales results by building strong customer relationships
- Providing exceptional customer service and accurate advice to both retail and trade customers
- Tinting and mixing paint, colour advice and matching
- Managing inventory and stock levels within the store
- Store presentation and housekeeping
- Workplace Health and Safety leadership
Experience / Attributes:
- Trade / hardware / paint industry experience is desirable, and previous experience managing a Paint Store would be highly regarded
- Demonstrated team leadership experience including coaching and developing staff
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead high performing staff
- Advanced time management and organisational skills, and the ability to delegate appropriately.
- The initiative to work autonomously and also as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills with good negotiation and problem solving skills
- Honest, reliable and punctual
- Able to problem solve and use lateral thinking
- Able to contribute and lead while working in a team environment
- Flexibility and willingness to assist in all areas of business
- This role requires heavy lifting up to 20kg
