AddressBeau Murphys is a family-owned automotive Panel Beater and spray painter business in North Rockhampton, Qld.
Given the needs of the business, we now require a Panel Beater to join our busy team. The successful candidate will be required to work out of our premises in North Rockhampton, Qld.
The duties and responsibilities of the position include:
• Carrying out inspections on bodywork and frames of vehicles to assess extent of damage.
• Disassembling damaged vehicle parts and removing upholstery and accessories to gain access.
• Repairing scratches, dents and other damage to bodywork and replacing any parts that cannot be repaired.
• Straightening and aligning car frames and unibodies.
• Replacing badly damaged sections with new or second-hand panels.
• Filling depressions with plastic filler, and filing, grinding and sanding repaired surfaces.
• Cutting and joining replacement sections using welding equipment.
• Filling and sanding bodywork.
• May spray-paint vehicles.
• Performing final finishing and polishing.
We offer a competitive remuneration. Salary based on experience, excluding superannuation.
The successful candidate will have the following:
• Certificate III and two (2) years of on-the-job training; OR
• Certificate IV and two (2) years of full-time relevant work experience; Or
• Four (4) years, full-time work experience.
The successful candidate must also be passionate, proactive and have an eye for detail as well as an ability to work with minimal supervision.
