Your new role
Reporting to the Senior Park Ranger, you’ll:
Conduct a range of regeneration/restoration activities, including but not limited to: weed control, direct seeding, enrichment planting, ecological and weed reduction burning and mapping and monitoring of significant flora and fauna
Safely operate and maintain plant and equipment for onsite environmental works
Maintain revegetation projects
Maintain aesthetic amenities of parks and reserves including but not limited to: rubbish removal, path maintenance, storm damage and reporting hazards
What you'll need to succeed
Qualifications in Natural Resource Management; you’ll have:
Knowledge of exotic and indigenous flora and fauna
Experience undertaking revegetation / regeneration projects
Knowledge of integrated weed management practices using chemical and manual control options
Basic chainsaw / chipper operation
Safe and competent driving of vehicles i.e.: 4WD and small trucks
