Part Time Optometrist - Costco Casuarina, Western Australia (Kwinana Area)

• Paid as FTE salary, per hours worked.
• Minimum 24 - 32 hrs p/week, 4 days a week (prerequisite). Option of working at 1-2 Costco WA sites
• Either 4 days at Costco Casuarina or can be split 2/2 between Perth Airport & Casuarina (negotiable)

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs eye examinations and vision tests to determine the presence of visual, ocular and other abnormalities, and prescribes lenses, other optical aids or therapy.

Job Duties/Essential Functions

• Demonstrate ability in providing outstanding patient care
• Coach, train and mentor other Optical department employees
• Exercise discretion and confidentiality with all patient information
• Follow proper Optical Centre, general safety and security procedures and standards
• Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary
• Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees and suppliers.

Qualifications (Costco-specific or industry specific skills that candidates should possess):

• Have successfully completed appropriate tertiary studies in Optometry;
• Be registered and licenced with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency / Optometry Board of Australia;
• Work with latest equipment (OCT / Retinal Camera and visual fields)
• Effective communication, basic math skills, interpersonal skills and;
• Appropriate knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)

Other specific requirements:

Evidence of Full COVID-19 vaccinations OR medical contraindications certificate.
