Located on Gadigal and Bidjigal land (Randwick NSW), Black Dog Institute is the only Medical Research Institute in Australia to investigate mental health across the lifespan, our aim is to create a mentally healthier world for everyone. Desired Skills and Experience
The Role:
Organise and assist in delivering bespoke corporate events for Black Dog Institute’s Partnerships team. Coordinate and oversee the delivery of a diverse base of events including Challenge events, such as CEO Skydive, thank you and impact events, partnership launches, and engagement events. Inspire partners to take part and fundraise in events and create a lasting connection to our team and the Institute.
Key Duties:
Work closely within the Partnerships team to develop and implement event planning including supporting our event partners, project plans, fundraising targets, participant acquisition strategy, fundraising and stewardship plans and supporter journeys.
Facilitate the end-to-end event planning and execution process.
Work with key stakeholders to develop and ensure the execution of the marketing and communications plan to recruit and communicate with event participants.
Perform event risk and logistics needs assessments for each event location or venue.
Work with external suppliers where needed, such as digital agency, logistics, merchandising and others to implement successful supporter engagement, including pre and post event.
Skills & Experience Required
2+ years’ experience in delivering successful events, preferably with a fundraising or revenue growth element.
Demonstrated experience in organising event logistics and on-site event execution, including coordination of event staff or volunteers.
Project management skills, and adept at working to strict timelines, project plans and budgets.
Confidence in managing expectations and deliverables with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Strong communicator and relationship builder.
Demonstrated ability to solve problems collaboratively and creatively.
Capacity and ability to travel interstate several times per year, as needed to support event delivery.
