Patient Services Assistant
Permanent part-time opportunity to join our Cardiac Catheter Lab
About the Role
As a Patient Services Assistant, you will work under the guidance and direction of our supportive clinicians and complete tasks to assist in providing safe and effective care for our patients.
This will involve, but is not limited to:
- Ensuring all equipment utilised on the shift is cleaned, restocked and stored in the appropriate storage area
- Assisting with tasks as requested by the team
- Assisting with patient transport between departments
- Effective cleaning of the department including the preparation of beds
- Re-stocking ensuring the efficient running of the unit
- Ensuring regular clearance of soiled linen and rubbish from departments maintaining clear and tidy utility areas
About You
To succeed in this role you will have a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service which assists you maintaining positive relationships with staff, patients and families.
You will also demonstrate:
- Holds a Certificate III in Health Services or Aged Care or current enrolment in a Diploma / Bachelor in Nursing
- Recent acute hospital experience in a similar position
- Previous cardiac experience is desirable but training will be provided
- Moderate understanding of medical terminology
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently as required
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
