About the role
As a PSA for Calvary, you will be instrumental in covering off on a range of tasks to support our patients reach optimal health outcomes. This includes assisting with a range of ancillary duties, manual handling assistance, working with patients and your colleagues to assist with the running of our 24 hour, 7 day a week service.
Key duties include:
Manual Handling of patients and equipment
Transporting patients within the hospital grounds
Assisting with various housekeeping tasks
Supportive call bell responding, providing patient discharge assistance
What you bring
Flexibility
Exemplary customer service skills and empathy for patients and their loved ones
Exposure to the health care setting
Ability to respect and maintain patient confidentiality
Ability to perform physical duties including medium strength manual handling
Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Good verbal communication skills
Exercise judgement and initiative in the day to day execution of their own work
Ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times
Ability to work with a wide variety of people
