This position has Casual as well as permanent Full time and Part time vacancies.
What you'll be doing
The position will provide support to the nursing team in non-clinical care of the patient regarding patient lifting and transportation. Team member will be on emergency response teams, collection and delivery of specimens, equipment, consumables, restocking of supplies and consumables.
Cleaning duties as assigned, may including general cleaning, terminal cleaning of internal areas and external areas. Cleaning according to daily, weekly and periodic schedules.
Displays competency in the reading and writing of English to enable required duties to be performed safely and to acceptable levels
Demonstrated previous cleaning and portering experience in a health care facility
Demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of workplace health and safety issues
Ability to work on a variable roster 24/7 if required.
Ability to work within a team environment with little or no supervision
Demonstrated ability to work in a manner which preserves patient confidentiality and dignity
Displays a willingness & flexible approach to work requirements and change in work practices
Previous experience in a similar position in a health care facility
