We offer exclusive, all-around, highly customised hearing care solutions and services, guiding our customers through their journey to rediscover all the emotions of sound.We attract, develop, and empower the most talented people to make more possible and demonstrate our values every day.About the role:The Payroll and Total Rewards Lead will drive the modernisation of our payroll function and will take ownership of our Compensation and Total Rewards front and manage (currently) a team of 4: 2 based in Melbourne, 1 in Sydney and 1 in Queensland.Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll Management:
Lead and supervise front-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payments.
Stay abreast of Australian payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements to ensure payroll practices are in line with legal standards.
Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile payroll transactions and resolve discrepancies.
Lead the internal audit process to ensure compliance with payroll tax and superannuation guarantees.
Compensation, Benefits & Total Rewards:
Design, implement, and manage comprehensive Total Rewards programs, including compensation and benefits strategies.
Support with the design, development, implementation and communication of sales incentives, fixed and variable compensation.
Conduct regular market analysis to ensure the organisation's Total Rewards offerings remain competitive within the industry.
Oversee the administration of employee benefits and perks.
Responsible for performing ongoing job evaluation analysis ensuring consistency in salary structures across all job functions.
Evaluate the performance of compensation processes, analyse gaps and propose changes to existing systems.
Lead the reward program for a nationally dispersed workforce - including operational oversight of cyclical events like annual rem review, bonuses, and market data plus the delivery of a broad range of rem activities including benchmarking and job evaluation.
Data Management:
Ensure the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date employee records in the payroll system.
Generate reports and analyse Payroll and Total Rewards data to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Support the yearly HC/FTE/Labor cost budgeting process.
Guarantee smooth execution of monthly HC/FTE/Labor cost processes.
Ensure the production of reports on all quantitative data relating to the management of the workforce, working hours, training and payroll, including the HR section of the extra-financial report
Confidence in dealing with workforce planning tools
Expatriate (Expat) Management:
Liaise with the relevant stakeholders to ensure a sound process and hosting of Expats within Amplifon Australia.
Determine compatibility of current conditions and their applicability in the local market.
Coordinate with relevant authorities to address tax, visa, and legal requirements for expatriate employees.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, taxation regulations, and industry standards.
Work closely with legal and compliance teams to address any payroll or benefits-related compliance issues.
Communication and Employee Support:
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to Payroll and Total Rewards.
Communicate changes in Payroll and benefits policies to employees in a clear and timely manner.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with the broader HR department, finance, and other relevant departments to streamline processes and improve overall organizational efficiency.
Work closely with HR to support talent acquisition efforts by providing salary insights and compensation benchmarking.
About you:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, finance, or a related field
Combined experience of over 3 years leading front-to-end payroll, Total Rewards administration, and expatriate management.
Competent knowledge of Australian payroll regulations, taxation, and expatriate policies.
Knowledge of Mercer IPE (International Position Evaluation) is required
Experience in liaising with offshore payroll vendors.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office applications, specifically advanced Excell.
Detail-oriented and analytical professional who can manage confidential information and provide outputs with a high degree of accuracy.
