About you and your new role:
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will join our close knit, fun and supportive People & Culture team. You will be responsible for a variety of regular and adhoc tasks for both payroll and HR, including:
Manage the end to end processing of company payroll and time and attendance for approx. 780 employees, ensure payment of wages and salaries are calculated and processed accurately, and complete accurate and timely month-end and year-end reporting.
HR Administration responsibilities include HR reporting, performance review administration, organisation charts, and ensuring the smooth transition of information between our payroll system and HR systems.
This role is best suited to someone with a conscientious and systematic approach, and a strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy. You are also a service oriented person who is always willing to offer help and listen to others.
This is a part time role, with the ability to work a balance of 2 days WFH and 2 days in our newly renovated office based in Labrador on the Gold Coast.
Skills and experience required to be successful in this position:
Minimum 3 years payroll processing experience
Previous experience using chris21 payroll software highly advantageous
Ability to interpret Enterprise Agreements and Awards
Good communication skills and the ability to interact at all levels of the organisation
Experience processing accurate and timely month-end and year-end reporting
Excellent processing skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Self-motivated, independent, flexible and responsible
Must be detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Able to work independently and prioritise multiple tasks
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite; Excel at intermediate level is essential
