SALARY:
Excellent base salary of $120k - $125k + Super + STI Bonus + heaps of amazing benefits including discounted gym & childcare, health insurance premium discounts and novated leasing as well as continuous opportunities for career progression, growth and learning.

LOCATION:
Macquarie Park - state of the art brand new offices. Walking distance to public transport and free parking available on-site. Hybrid working also available (3 days in the office and 2 from home).

Due to this enormous growth, a brand new role has been created for a Payroll Manager. This role would really suit a high performing Senior Payroll Officer looking for a step up or an experienced Payroll Manager looking for an organisation that truly values people and culture.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing finance team, where your payroll experience, commercial acumen and business partnering skills will drive the business to its next phase of growth. As the payroll expert, you will partner closely with the Finance Director to provide insights and recommendations that will drive best practise payroll solutions to the business. This is a broad mandate where you will take complete ownership of the entire payroll function, delivering excellence in day to day payroll processing and driving substantial efficiency improvements from system enhancement and process re-design.

Your deep understanding of payroll, systems, awards and employment agreements together with strong commercial acumen, relationship building, influencing and communication skills will enable you to support senior management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to an experienced Finance Director and working closely with the senior leadership team, your key responsibilities will include:

End to end payroll ownership - assume responsibility for the entire payroll function ensuring all payroll related payments are made on time, are accurate and in compliance with all award conditions and legal requirements.
Process improvement – key lead for process related continuous improvement initiatives across payroll including a review and assessment of current payroll processes.
Business partnership - Provide sound payroll advice and support to key business leaders to effectively and efficiently manage business operations and performance.
Stakeholder relationship management – establish collaborative relationships to meet business needs as well as coaching and contributing to business strategy.
Interpretation of employment awards and regulations - act as the internal expert on all matters related to the interpretation and understanding of the relevant awards and employment regulations.
Payroll systems project management - lead and deliver a project, in conjunction with the IT software provider, to embed the award terms and conditions within the current payroll software.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
You are a seasoned Payroll professional with at least 5-10 years experience. You have a proven background in executing payroll for a medium-large volume of employees. You have demonstrated experience working in partnership with business leaders to manage business and payroll processes. You possess strong problem solving skills with a proven ability to analyse and interpret awards and employment agreements. In addition, you will have:

Demonstrated experience implementing best practise across payroll processes.
Experience in payroll systems and intermediate excel skills.
Highly developed written & verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively manage a wide range of key stakeholders.
Pro-active and customer focused mind set.
The ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities in a fast paced environment.
Superior stakeholder management, including influencing and negotiation skills.
