Our client are a successful Traffic Control / Labour Hire company to the construction and civil engineering industries in Sydney.
They have been in operation for more than two decades and driven by a highly regarded MD who is well known to Tier One Construction Managers such as CPB / Lendlease / Multiplex / John Hollands etc.
Due to continued success, all from repeat customers, they are now looking for an experienced Payroll Officer / Bookkeeper / Accounts Superstar who can continue to deliver successful outcomes to all parties.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes, bookkeeping principles, office management and accounting tasks.
This role can be full time permanent / Part time / School hours etc. - our client is completely flexible – They are more interested in finding a dynamic individual who fits the company culture and continue with its success.
Based in Modern offices in St Georges River area a reporting directly to the MD – We are looking for reliable individual who:
- Can take over the day to day running of the Accounts Dept.- This includes, but not limited to, Payroll (using MYOB) / BAS Preparation / Cash Flow Management / Payroll tax / Long service leave /
- Assisting external accountants with information required to comply with ATO legislation. (EG Annual Accounts etc.).
- Ensure all insurances are up to date – this includes Workers’ comp / Public liability / Fleet Management etc,
- Any other general day to day duties as required to ensure things run smoothly.
- Processing payroll accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintaining financial records and ensuring the accuracy of accounts
The person we are looking for will have:
- Ability to work autonomously – and as part of a team.
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Officer, Bookkeeper, Office Manager, or similar role
- Proficiency in MYOB or similar accounting software
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, bookkeeping principles, and office management
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
- Certification in bookkeeping, accounting, or related field is a plus.
- A working knowledge of EBA rates would be highly regarded.
